All Around Cleaner

I am always on the look out for alternative cleaners.  The more I learn about what is in the commercial cleaners, the more I dislike them, especially where pets and kids are involved.  Using things that are natural, non-threatening to you and those you love, personally I think, is the better way to go.  If they can be made easily and cheaply at home, all the better!  Below is a simple all-around cleaner, that is all of the above.  Try it out.  You may be pleasantly surprised at how well it works, and even surpasses the store bought cleaners!

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide
  • ¼ cup Lemon Juice
  • A clean and empty spray bottle

Mix ingredients and put them in your spray bottle.  That’s it!  This is a great little cleaner for almost any job.  Whether it be cleaning glass, grime, soap-scum or what have you.  You can even add about half a cup of this mix to your laundry to whiten clothes!

Better yet the ingredients are safe to use around pets and kids, and the lemon leaves your house smelling citrus fresh.

Hydrogen Peroxide is an awesome cleaner, that works even better than vinegar, and cleans much like bleach but without the harmful stuff.

Discussion Topics:

  • Have you used this?  What did you think of it?
  • Do you have a fave natural all-purpose diy cleaner that differs from this one?  What is it that you use?
