About the author

I’m a Goth/Hippie who loves to try new things and dabbles in anything and everything that I find enjoyment in. That can include but is not limited to, cooking, art, digital design, jewellery making, photography, gardening, nature, animals and whatever else strikes my fancy. I’m an optimistic (occasionally) perfectionist (constantly), who can be very sarcastic (incessantly), but all in good humour. :)

These days they define introvert as someone who expends energy being around people and gains energy being alone. Extroverts are the opposite: they thrive on being around people and find being alone takes effort. This is not to say introverts necessarily dislike people, or that extroverts necessarily dislike being alone. It just has to do with what each group finds easy or challenging.

What’s interesting is that both groups sometimes find it hard to fully believe the other group really feels that way. I, for instance, can’t imagine what it must be like to thrive on being with people as often as possible.

I am the same way. I have always done much better in small groups or by myself. Never understood what the real attraction was with being around people all the time. Most of the time I can’t stand people, let alone want to hang around a whole bunch of them, lol. 😉

I’ve got a buddy who fractured his pelvis snowmobiling, and now he’s bumming out because he’s stuck at home and isn’t getting enough socialization. Whereas I’d love an excuse to be out of work for weeks!

Lol, yep I’m the same way. Never been very social, and it doesn’t have to do with being “shy”. I just prefer being alone or in small groups, of like no more than four people (including me).

I couldn’t agree more.

I think you and I will get along just swimmingly. 🙂
